Ineffable Pictures has optioned the film rights to New York Times Bestselling teen novel, Tiger’s Curse, by Colleen Houck. It aims to start production on the film within two years.
Tiger’s Curse is the first of five planned novels following 17-year-old Kelsey Hayes as she tries to break a 300-year-old Indian curse that has turned a prince into a white tiger.
Ineffable Pictures founder, Emmy-nominated producer Raphael Kryszek (Writer's Draft, Fox Legacy with Tom Rothman), says he read the book at the urging of his 11-year-old cousin.
“And immediately I felt compelled to get in touch with Colleen to inquire about the film rights,” Kryszek, who launched the company last year, says. "The book has had such a success with readers and I instanly saw it as an epic film saga in the vein of Twilight and Indiana Jones."
